Lee County is doing a good job collecting tolls, according to an audit by the Lee County Clerk of Court.

The clerk of court had no recommendations for the tolling system, according to the audit released today.

"All tolls were deposited and recorded in (the tolling software)," the audit said. "Variances were within the acceptable range of .5 percent."

A total of $350,315 was collected on the Sanibel, Midpoint and Cape Coral bridges between Nov. 15 and Nov. 21, according to the audit. Of that amount, $201,586 was from vehicles with transponders.

During that time, 342 total vehicles traveled through the tolling station without paying.
